'Above All Noise', is the exciting debut album from Zipper Tongue, a
band whom fans describe as 'Muse meets Return to Forever'.
As a band with a wide range of musical influences, they have crafted
10 songs that reveal obvious links to Funk, Metal, Jazz, Classical and even Latin, but sit firmly in the Rock camp.
'Above All Noise' also features a cover of the Simply Red song,
'Something Got Me Started', which has been given a brand new
What sets Zipper Tongue apart from others is not only virtuoso
musicianship, songwriting and compositional technique, but also their use of modern technology.
Guitarist and producer, Nick Andrew explaines that they used vocal
harmonisers, various guitar effects, drum synths and guitar synths.
This also enables them to create the same sound live.

The show involved Nick and three other producers, including Tom Chianti and Ian Husbands, brought in to critique unsigned bands from around the world, giving compositional and production tips in amongst jovial banter.
After many months of hard work Zipper Tongue's debut album is now available to buy on iTunes and Amazon.

Along with a wide range of unique original tracks, written and produced by Stephen and Nick, the album includes a cover version of Simply Red's 'Something Got Me Started'.
The inimitable Lee Aaron was brought in to handle the drumming duties. All the drums were recorded at 'Smiley' Barnard's recording studio (Archive and the Alarm and former Robbie Williams drummer) in Fleet. All the percussion was performed and recorded by Russ Wilson, pictured on right (Curfew, Elton John, Tantalus).
MJS and LACE
Three of the guitars on 'Above All Noise' have the new Lace 'Deathbucker' pickups fitted, which help give a more dynamic response and improve sustain, for those long chords!
Nick's custom MJS guitar features heavily on the album. Built by the French genuis, Godefroy Maurejouls, it features the Lace 'Deathbuckers', a custom Wilkinson bridge, is fully Midiable and is blue!
At around 11:20 on Wednesday 21st January Nick had the honour of appearing on the popular British morning television program 'This Morning'. Nick spoke about his time living in his car and life as a musician and guitarist in Zipper Tongue.

On Tuesday 22nd September Stephen went on Reading radio station Blast1386 to talk about the band Zipper Tongue. A few of the tracks from the album 'Above All Noise' were played to those tuned in.

Nick Andrew of Zipper Tongue releases his new book
'Back Street Bedroom' in December 2015, just in time for Christmas. This is a most riveting read, giving the reader a well detailed and very humourous account of the past eight years of Nick's unuasual life of living in his car.
